Outcome led road infrastructure design framework

An outcome-led design framework for road infrastructure considers economic, social and environmental drivers equally, aiming for future-proof and context-relevant infrastructure.

Multi-use kerb concept

LEDs embedded into the kerb and informed by real-time data could enable more flexible streets, helping to improve road capacity and safety.

Modular air taxi skyport concept

This ‘mega’ skyport concept for air taxis can be reconfigured for different contexts, i.e. over highways or on top of skyscrapers, with capacity for 10,000 passengers per hour transforming urban mobility.

Flood risk-managing highway

Structural upgrades to a motorway section vulnerable to floodwater increases resilience and safety, and reduces travel delays.

Homeless-reintegrating housing initiative

Building houses for the homeless in the backyards of volunteer families allows Seattle residents to tackle homelessness, integrating rough sleepers into the community and utilising underused space.

Smart city-enhancing chatbot

A government and police department-based chatbot answers city inhabitant’s queries, increasing public awareness and autonomy and reducing the call-answering duties of employees.
